Affidavit given by the same Leyers on 29 April 1948. From 1940 on Leyers started to have official contact with Dr. Nueller, who did not like the functions delegated to him by the Weapons commission, although they consisted only of supervising, counseling and statistical surveys. When in the winter of 1941/42 Todt demanded that the committee should control strictly production and intervene in industry Dr. Mueller / therefore. became opposed to him and Saur and resigned the chairmanship of the weapon committee in the Spring of 1942. Thus he did not take part any more in the compulsory carrying out of production demands starting in May 1942 and in the compulsory allocation of means of production and labor. Mueller's work in the weapon committee was restricted to the development of weapons only. (51-53)
