Affidavit of Fritz Niedertubbesing, a Krupp employee given on 18 May 1948. As the manager of the AK office he had been connected with Dr. Mueller by 10 years of collaboration. Dr. Mueller never took any interest in political affairs and was completely devoted to his professional work. In the years before the outbreak of the war, Dr. Mueller was very successful in developing arms for abroad. From 1943 on his activity decreased progressively; he leveled strong criticism at the measures taken by the Ministry for Armaments and War production and became violently opposed to Hauptdienstleister Sauer, which was the reason for his increasing passivity. Having left the machine plant in November 1943, he hardly made any decisions any more, neither in the firm nor in the weapon's commission and was only occupied with development work at relocated AK offices until the end of the war.
