Affidavit of Reinhold Clausnizer, a Krupp employee, given on 18 May 1948. As Dr. Mueller's assistant, he cooperated closely with the latter. Before the outbreak of the second world war, Dr. Mueller's activity gravitated towards his artillery developments for abroad. Apart from daily discussions within the department AK, occasional conferences took place with the independent managers of individual enterprises for the purpose of coordination of the production schedule for the individual implements. In this conviction, Dr. Mueller did not have the authority to issue orders except in the time from spring until fell 1943, when he was in charge of the machine plant. From the end of 1943 on, Dr. Mueller did not participate any more in conferences in the enterprise. Dr. Mueller never took part in party politics. He did not figure on a war. After its outbreak, he worked, however, tirelessly at first, but lost his confidence in the political leadership from 1943 on. His activity slackened. From then on, he hardly participated any more in conferences of the firm's management. (1-8)
