Affidavit of the former chief of the Arms Procurement Department with the Army Ordnance Office, Dr. Ing. Hans Leyers, dated 20 March 1948. Dr. Leyers states that even before the begin of the second world war Krupp was busy on developing automatic anti-aircraft weapons. During the war the Ordinance Office considered the plan of having the developed gun equipment manufactured at Auschwitz. The plan, however, was not carried out. (1-2)
