D6 - NIK-9038. [Exhibit 1136] Letter, dated 11 February 1945, written by Girod from his temporary residence at Bamberg to Houdremont in Essen; referring (at p.1) to his and Dr. Wollstaedter's conversation with SS-Obergruppenfuehrer Schmauser wherein Girod expressed the opinion that it would be better to sacrifice one or two or even three day's production and to keep control of the foreigners and concentration camp prisoners by their timely evacuation from Markstaedt, rather than lose control of all the workers by a too late evacuation; Girod attaches copies of this letter to be forwarded to Alfried Krupp and Ihn.
