Affidavit by Department Chief Albert Stern and by Payroll clerk Julius Piepenbreier, dated 10 May 1048. Both witnesses are employees of the Friedrich-Alfred-Huette at Rheinhausen,. They state that according to data on hand the Dutchman Berghout (Prosecution-Document NIK-12623, Exhibit 988, Document-Book 35, page 123 English, page 139 German) received his full monthly payment of approximately RM 270. -; a balance of RM 37.- only could not be paid out to him on account of the events of the war. They also express their opinion on the air-raid shelters used by foreign workers. (7-8)
