Affidavit by Dr. -Ing. Emil Edwin, dated 1 March 1948. Witness, a Swedish national, was employed by Krupp until 1939 in an advisory position on scientific research work. From his close cooperation with him he is well acquainted with Houdremont's character and attitude towards scientific research. He makes a voluntary statement that Houdremont repeatedly stressed the importance of international cooperation in the spheres of politics and science, and that the charge that he devoted his scientific labors merely to the development of arms and war material is far from being justified. He also knows that Houdremont was entirely opposed to the political National-Socialist development in Germany. (4-6)
