Affidavit by Dr. Hugo Rosendahl, Senior Town Director of the city of Essen, dated 18 November 1947. On the basis of his rather close personal acquaintance, he confirms that Houdremont was far removed from the ideology of the NSDAP and never made a secret of his positive attitude towards the Catholic church. As chairman of the cultural circle "Folkwang," Houdremont fostered the cultural life of Essen. (23)
