Affidavit by Otto Weber, dated 30 december 1947. Following an inspection of the Krupp crankshaft factory at Glinde near Hamburg in 1943, the Armments Ministry received a report from the Commission which had conducted the inspection, in which this works and the management of the firm of Krupp as a whole were sharply attacked. The main reproach was insufficient exploitation of available manpower. The firm of Krupp having raised a protest, a further inspection took place, in the light of which it had to be recognized that the works management had been justified in refusing to impose further strain on the workers.
