Affidavit Paul Koerner, from 1936 onward State Secretary for the Four Year Plan, dated 11 March 1948. As an advisor for the Four Year Plan, Houdremont did not hold an official posittion. During the war he was appointed Special Commissioner for Substitution of Metals by the Ministry for Armament and War Production. Houdremont did not hold a position on the Central Planning Board "either, nor did he have regular duties there. He was only called in 2 or 3 times for conferences in order to give information about the substitution of metals. Moreover, the witness confirms that he recommended to Houdremont in 1936 to join the NSDAP in order to be in a better position to have his brother-in-law Brune Kurowski released from detention by the Gestapo.
