Affidavit by Professor Dr. Hans Jungbluth, Rector at the Technical College Karlsruhe, dated 11 December 1947. Witness was engineer with Krupp's for ever 20 years and Professor Houdremont's colleague. The work as well as the appointments to the staff of the research institute under Houdremont's direction proved that investigations on metallurgical foundations formed the nucleus of Houdremont's activity. A special proof of this is his book "Manual on the Development of Special Steel" of which a second edition was published in 1943 in spite of the war. (68-69)
