Notes:

Affidavit of Dr. Erich Thiess from the Krupp-Stahlbau-Rheinhausen dated 4 November 1947. From the beginning of November 1944 his firm received consecutive allocations of stores, machinery, stocks by rail, which originated from the firm De Vries Robbe, and which were not ordered by Krupp-Rheinhausen. Krupp Rheinhausen received an official notification from the representative of the Reich Minister for Armament and War Production in the Netherlands that these goods had been shipped as requisitioned goods. The plant management Rheinhausen did everything in its power to protect in the owner's interest the goods which had not been asked for, from air attacks and any future measures to be imposed by the German authorities. The defendant Houdremont was not informed of the matter. (41-44)
