Affidavit by Eugen Lehmkuehler, dated 8 February f1948: Allocation of labor in the foreign workers were well-housed; the food, heating and medical care were adequate; female concentration camp inmates were housed in an SS camp administered by women. They were assigned to the same duties as German women, however; the care and treatment which they received were beyond reproach and were humane in every respect; this fact was recognized by the Russian occupation authorities in 1945.
